Enjoy the Story!!

This was our first trip of the year and we decided to do Honeyman over Sandlake. At first I thought it was going to be a little early in the year to do this as we chased snow all the way to Florence. We arrived at about 1 pm on Sunday and it was a little chilly. The sun was out though and that caused for a ride. We had a great first ride. At about 6 or so Gary and Hans arrived. We met up with  Jesse and decided a night ride was in the works as Gary and Hans have not seen the dunes. This was the first mistake on the trip. We went out and in about an hour we had found ourselves lost. I ended up de-rimming my front tire. (3 rib) As we drove around with everyone having different choices that they thought was the right way back to camp. Nobody listened to our 11yr co-pilot Taylor who knew exactly how to get back. We decided then and there that if we had to stay the night that we would eat Mike First. After we actually got back . (half an hour past the 10:30 curfew)My wife decided to pull out the GPS for future night rides. (This was no Sandlake)Dunes were a little hard but dried as the days went on. Gary and myself probably had the roughest trip as we had the most buggy problems. In total I ended up replacing 3 rims, 3 tires, 2 spindles, and Gary replaced 1 spindle (took a whole day) Altenator pulley, and had truck problems. and Mike well ....... Mike and I will soon laugh about that Thursday......Right Mike. I think our New American friend Jesse found out this trip how to use his buggy like never before....It was a great time with him and Ty. I hope to see them again on the dunes. I truly enjoy this sport more for the friends that we make. Hope the Crazy Canadians did not scare you too much with the lingo Jesse. Chris ran Awesome as always. His rotory was wheelieing up every hill, jumping every jump. Brent ofcourse still has a horseshoe up his butt as he came across no major problems and drove his rail like he stole it. I am also going to say that our buggies our the same speed as you won 2 races and I won 2 races. Mike had the best buggy trip he has ever had in the 3 years he has been at it, until that "Thursday" Over all the weather was great , the people were great, and I would do it again if I could. I just want to thank everyone who came and hope that they enjoyed themselves as much as we did.
